Acting Governor Balochistan Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali congratulated the newly elected Local Body (LB) representatives of the people and expressed confidence that these representatives would actively serve in solving the problems and difficulties of people in their respective areas.
He also expressed satisfaction over the conduct of peaceful and successful local government (LG) elections in 32 districts of the province, said press release issued here on Monday.
He said that due to the newly elected local body representatives the problems of the people would now be significantly reduced.
He also hoped that the transfer of administrative and financial powers to lower levels would strengthen the democratic process.
“In this regard, it is important that the focus be on strengthening and empowering local governments as per the relevant provisions of the constitution”, he said. The Acting Governor of Balochistan appreciated the performance of the provincial government, district administration and all law enforcement agencies for conducting peaceful and successful local body election.
