The students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) have praised the education friendly statement of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and expressed happiness over the announcement of educational promoting policies, revival of laptop scheme, provision of technical education and scholarships.
The students including Hamad Javed, Abdul Rafi, Muhammad Imran, Abdul Rahman Bin Shafqat, Aqib Razzaq, Mohsin Sattar, Ameer Hamza, Amara Tanveer, Sonia Mehak and Jamshid Iftikhar said in a statement that Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif had given top priority to the education sector during his tenure as Chief Minister. New universities were established throughout the province.
A state-of-the-art university Khawaja Farid University of Engineering and Information Technology Rahim Yar Khan was established in Bahawalpur division. Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences and Government Sadiq College and Women’s University Bahawalpur were also established during his time. Laptops were made available to thousands of students through the Laptop Scheme, which accelerated research activities and gave young people access to the resources available for research activities around the world.
