IUB, KTO conduct conference on Islamic economics

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) in collaboration with KTO Karatay University Turkey, conducted an online International Conference on Islamic Economics and Finance.

The conference had 15 parallel sessions in which presenters from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, IIUM Malaysia, Sakarya University Turkey, Bursa Teknik Universiti, Universiti Sains Islam and other scholars of international repute shared their research contributions. Dr. Huma Nawaz from IUB Bahawalnagar Campus and Dr. Areeba Khan from IBMAS, BJC, Bahawalpur were the session moderators from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

The sessions were live streamed in sub-campuses and YouTube simultaneously. Meanwhile social and educational communities paid tribute to the educational services of Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob for South Punjab. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob was appointed as Vice Chancellor of Khawaja Farid University of Engineering and Information Technology Rahim Yar Khan on September 2, 2015.

The then Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif gave the task of establishing a state-of-the-art engineering university in a remote district like Rahim Yar Khan, which he completed in a short span of three years based on his God-given abilities. The then Chief Minister Punjab inaugurated Khawaja Farid University of Engineering and Information Technology Rahim Yar Khan on May 5, 2018.
