Mathematics Department of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, organized mega event IUB National Mathematical Olympiad (NMO) 2021 (IUBNMO-2021) at main auditorium, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. The national universities and affiliated colleges participated in this event.
A variety of programs were arranged which includes: Open house quiz gala, written as well as oral quiz individual competitions, individual problem-solving competitions, and written as well as oral team competitions.
Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, IUB was chief patron of IUBNMO-2021 while Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, Chairman Department of Mathematics was Chief Organizer of IUBNMO-2021 and Coordinator of the event was Dr. Shafqat Ali.
Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the entire organizing committee included Dr. Ghulam Abbas, Dr. Muhammad Shahzad Shabir, Dr. Muhammad Asghar and others for successfully organizing national level quiz and problem-solving competitions. He said the Department of Mathematics of IUB is on the right track now.
Department is regularly organizing different mega-events from three years under the Chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mustafa. The cash prizes worth 70 thousand were distributed among contestants during the event.
