World Food Day 2022 was celebrated by Department of Food Science and Technology, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. In this regard, a seminar and awareness walk was organized in the auditorium of the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus.
Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob inaugurated the World Food Day. In his address, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that the purpose of celebrating this day is to identify millions of people who do not have access to quality and healthy food. The theme of World Food Day this year is no one else.
The day is being celebrated at a time when the world is facing various challenges, including the Covid-19 epidemic, inter-country conflicts, climate change, inflation and rising food prices.
