LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto got justice after 50 years but it is good if they are dispensed with the justice in their lives.
“It’s a great thing that Zulfikar Bhutto has gotten justice after 50 years,” said Dr. Yasmin while talking to the reporters during her appearance before the court in Lahore on Thursday.
She said that it is good that the judiciary acknowledged its mistake in Bhutto case.
“We too have been hoping for justice for the past ten months. It’s good if we receive justice while we are alive. We hope for justice from the judiciary without having to wait 50 years,” she added.
Dr. Yasmin also criticized the PML-N government, saying that the public’s money is being spent on personal publicity. “Put Nawaz Sharif’s picture on ration items only when you pay for it from your own pocket. This is the nation’s money. By making you the Chief Minister, Maryam Bibi, all systems were destroyed. Maryam Bibi, by oppressing girls, no one will be worse off than me. No one was worse off than you before,” said the PTI leader while lashing out at CM Maryam.
Earlier in the day, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said that for the first time, a woman became the Chief Minister of the province, and regarding women, the Punjab Chief Minister is very sensitive.
Punjab CM Maryam, she said, had proposed introducing an app for women’s safety, which would be introduced under the name “Never Again”, and the Punjab Chief Minister would monitor it by herself.
“All possible measures will be taken for protection of the women,” said Azma, who took oath as provincial minister for information just a day ago.
The minister said that looking at the Chief Minister’s vision and work pace, PTI is in a state of silent mourning. She also said that CM Maryam Nawaz and her team would work so much that the name and sign of PTI would disappear after 5 years.
“Taking credit for other people’s work is PTI’s habit,” she added.
