ISLAMABAD – Pakistani citizens intending to explore Italy as a tourist or start a job or business there are required to obtain a suitable visa to enter the European county.
Italy, a Schengen state, attracts millions of tourists every year because of its fascinating culture, natural landscapes, artistic sites, and renowned cuisine. It also offers various job and business opportunities to foreign nationals.
If you are planning to travel to Italy as tourist, you will need to apply for Type C Schengen Visa. It is a short-stay visa allowing tourists to travel in the Schengen area for a maximum of 90 days within a 180-day period.
The Schengen Area currently consists of 27 member countries. All of these countries, which are located in Europe, include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Italy Type C Schengen Visa Fee in Pakistan
With effect from January 2024, Italy has fixed the fee for Type C Schengen Visa at 90 euros or Rs27,450 for adult applicants in Pakistan.
However, the fee will be Rs13,730 or 45 euros for minors aged between 6 to 12.
Italy Type D Visa Fee in Pakistan
The Type D visa is issued by a single Schengen member state such as Italy to individuals intending to stay longer than 90 days there for education, family reunification or work.
Italy embassy has fixed the fee for Type D visa in Pakistan at Rs35,380 or 116 euros.
