A newly established Islamic centre in Houston reportedly received a threat warning that it could be targeted in a terrorist attack, while Muslim shoppers in Conroe were also subjected to offensive and hateful remarks.
The reports come amid growing concerns among Muslim communities in Texas over what they describe as an increasingly hostile environment.
The US media reported that some Republican leaders in the state have pushed for investigations into Muslim organisations and supported efforts aimed at restricting certain Islamic practices.
Republican candidate Bo French has also drawn criticism for an anti-Muslim statement posted on social media. He reportedly said he would not rest until Muslims had left the country.
The reported incidents have sparked concerns among Muslim residents and community organisations, who fear that inflammatory political rhetoric could contribute to further discrimination and hostility.
