Islamabad United thrashed Quetta Gladiators by eight wickets in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 match at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday.
Chasing a decent 184-run target for victory, Islamabad United crossed the finish line with eight wickets and 10 balls remaining.
Opener Sameer Minhas was the highest scorer for the United, who made an unbeaten 83 off 48 balls, hitting eight fours and three maximums. Skipper Shadab Khan made an unbeaten 69 off 39 balls, laced with five fours and four maximums.
Devon Conway contributed 18 off 19 balls with the help of two fours and one maximum. Abrar Ahmed picked up two wickets. Shadab Khan was named player of the match for his valuable contribution both with the bat and ball.
Opting to bat first, Quetta Gladiators reached 183/5 in their quota of 20 overs. Hasan Nawaz was the top scorer for Gladiators with an unbeaten 66 off 36 balls, hitting six fours and three maximums.
Skipper Saud Shakeel made 42 off 26 balls, laced with three fours and as many maximums. Tom Curran contributed an unbeaten 29 off 22 balls, Shamyl Hussain 21 off 15 balls, and Khawaja Nafay 18 off 14 balls.
Shadab Khan bagged three wickets while Salman Irshad and Imad Wasim took one wicket each.
