Lis Rosenholm, Ambassador-designate of Denmark has arrived in Islamabad replacing her predecessor Rolf Holmboe who left the country after completing three years’ term.
The ambassador-designate is to call on President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi sometime next week to present her nomination papers as Ambassador of her country and take charge of the Royal Danish Embassy in Islamabad.
A career diplomat with a broad range and variety of experience from overseas assignments, Lis Rosenholm is expected to further explore and strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and Denmark, particularly in business and investment sectors, cooperation in climate-related initiatives, green energy, food conservation etc.
Her profile on social networking website ‘Linked in’ speaks much more about his professional expertise in international development, sustainable development goals and climate change.
She has previously served as the Deputy Head of Mission (DHM), Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam, Deputy Head of Department for Sustainable Growth & Employment, Senior Adviser Department for Development Policy.
She has also been responsible for strategizing the Sustainability Strategy for the Danish diplomat service (2019).
Her specialties include policy planning and strategy development, finance and budget management, bilateral and multilateral negotiations, foreign and development policy analysis, leadership skills, and above all geographic focus on Africa (SSA) and Asia (Vietnam).
