ISLAMABAD – Intermittent rains of varying intensities and gusty winds are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Thursday night and Friday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), shallow westerly wave prevails over upper parts of Pakistan.
Under these weather conditions, intermittent rains are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and at isolated places in northeast Punjab, Pothohar region, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan on Thursday night and Friday.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Friday and Saturday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, rains occurred at isolated places in northeast Punjab, Kashmir and Khuzdar.

Nokkundi remained the hottest place in Pakistan where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. The maximum temperature in Sibbi, Khairpur, Dalbandin and Turbat was recorded at 40°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 85 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 85 per cent.
