Rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan on Monday night and the next two days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave is likely to enter upper parts of the country tonight and will persist till October 7.
Under these conditions, rain-windstorm/thunderstorm is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Pothohar region and upper Punjab on Monday night and the next two days.
Isolated hailstorms/heavy rains are also likely during the period. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
Hailstorm and lightning may damage weak structures like roof/wall of Kacha houses, electric poles, billboards and solar panels during the forecast period.
Islamabad’s daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 32°C and 34°C on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Rawalpindi’s daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 31°C and 33°C on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Over the past 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed in most parts of the country.
Islamabad recorded a maximum temperature of 34°C with evening humidity at 67 per cent.
Rawalpindi recorded a maximum temperature of 33°C with evening humidity at 59 per cent.
