ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad Capital Territory Police have announced 1,624 jobs to fill vacant executive staff positions under its 2026 hiring drive.
The vacancies are open to Pakistani nationals, both male and female, with appointments to be made according to the regional and provincial quota system set by the federal government.
Sub-Inspector Jobs
The police have announced 60 posts of Sub-Inspector (BS-14). Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old and hold a BA, BSc or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
Male applicants must be at least 5 feet 7 inches tall, while the minimum height for female candidates is 5 feet 2 inches. Male candidates must also meet the prescribed chest measurement of 33 by 34.5 inches.
Candidates will be required to complete a one-mile endurance run within seven minutes for men and 10 minutes for women.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Jobs
A total of 24 Assistant Sub-Inspector (BS-11) positions are available. The age requirement and educational qualification are the same as those for Sub-Inspector posts.
The physical criteria also require male candidates to have a minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches and female candidates 5 feet 2 inches, along with the prescribed chest measurement for men.
The endurance test requires male candidates to complete one mile in seven minutes and female candidates in 10 minutes.
Islamabad Police Constable Jobs
The largest share of the recruitment drive consists of 1,540 Constable (BS-07) vacancies.
Candidates applying for these positions must be aged between 18 and 25 and have at least a Matric or equivalent qualification from a recognised board.
The minimum height is 5 feet 7 inches. Male applicants must also meet the required chest measurement and complete a one-mile run within seven minutes.
Quota-Based Recruitment
The vacancies will be distributed among open merit, Islamabad Capital Territory, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, NA/FATA, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan quotas, with separate allocations for women and minorities in specified categories.
Documents Required at Interview
Selected candidates for the interview stage will be required to present original documents, including their NADRA-issued CNIC, academic certificates, domicile certificate and two passport-size photographs with a blue background.
Applicants seeking consideration under the minorities quota must also provide an affidavit countersigned by the relevant deputy commissioner.
