Islamabad Police Officer Dismissed For Harassing Blackmailing Female Doctor

ISLAMABAD – An Islamabad police officer has been dismissed from his post after an inquiry found him guilty of harassing and blackmailing a female doctor.

Recently, a video statement from the doctor, identified as Dr Momina, went viral, in which she accused the sub-inspector Sohail Ashraf and his friend of harassing her.

In the video, the doctor appealed to the police authorities to take action and investigate the matter. She also submitted a written complaint against the inspector to the DIG operations, leveling serious allegations against the official.

In response, a spokesperson for the Islamabad Police issued a statement on X (formerly Twitter), confirming that an inquiry had been conducted into the doctor’s complaint against the Sub-Inspector.

The statement added that DIG Islamabad, Muhammad Javed Tariq, had dismissed the Sub-Inspector from his position.

The police also stated that they had contacted the doctor to ensure that the legal procedures were followed and to facilitate further legal actions.

The DIG emphasized that Islamabad Police has a robust and systematic self-accountability process and is committed to upholding the rule of law and serving the public with integrity.
