Islamabad police committed to resolve public grievances: IGP

Inspector General of Police Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas said that Islamabad Police is committed to resolve public grievances on priority and to secure the life and property of the citizens.

He said this while holding khuli kacheri in the Central police office to listen to the public as well as police official’s issues. 26 citizens and police officials attended the khuli kachehri.

IGP listened to the public grievances and marked them to the concerned officers. On the citizen’s complaint, the IGP issued displeasure letters to two SDPOs for non-compliance of orders on a given time frame and also warned SHO Khanna to improve his performance.

Islamabad police chief marked several applications of the citizens to the concerned officers and directed them to resolve on a given time frame and send a report to his office

While listening to police officials’ issues, the IGP approved three months leave of an injured official and ordered to give him Rs. 20,000 from as welfare. He also ordered to give welfare of Rs. 20,000 each to two officials.

Muhammad Ahsan Younas strictly directed all zonal officers to listen to public complaints and resolve them purely on merit. “No laxity will be tolerated in this regard” he added. Islamabad police chief emphasized that Islamabad police are committed to resolve the public grievances on priority and on merit. “We are public servants and to secure the life and property of the citizens is our foremost priority” the IGP maintained.

He further stated that a massive campaign against drug menace and land grabbers is on full swing. The IGP directed all the police officials to adopt courteous attitude with the complainants visiting police stations and accomplish their responsibilities in a professional manner.
