According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave is affecting the western and upper parts of Pakistan. Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating the upper and central parts of the country.
Forecast
Under these conditions, rains and strong winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eastern/southern Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday night.
On Saturday, hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. Rains and strong winds are likely in parts of Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northeastern Punjab.
