Intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday.
Isolated heavy rains are also expected in Sindh and Southern Punjab during the forecast period.
Synoptic Situation
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a low-pressure area is located over the southwest of Rajasthan and adjoining areas. Due to this LPA, monsoon currents are continuously penetrating southern and central parts of Pakistan.

Under these conditions, intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Sindh, North-East/South Punjab, Lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and North-East Balochistan on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Isolated heavy falls are also expected in Sindh and southern Punjab during the period.
Impacts
Flash floods are likely in hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan and local/nullah streams of northeastern Balochistan. Heavy rainfall may trigger urban flooding in low-lying areas of Sindh, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot, Gujrat, Sahiwal, Khanewal, and Multan.
Heavy rainfall, strong winds and lightning may damage vulnerable structures such as solar panels, electric poles, and billboards.
Temperatures Forecast
Daytime temperatures in Islamabad are expected to remain between 31°C and 33°C on Saturday and Sunday.
Daytime temperatures in Rawalpindi are expected to remain between 30°C and 32°C on Saturday and Sunday.
