CAPITAL city undoubtedly is the face of any country. This is the reason that all the countries pay special attention towards its uplift and development.
Finally, it is heartening to see that Islamabad is also changing. It is not a hyperbole but the work being done is very visible and speaks for itself.
Both Chairman Capital Development Authority Amer Ali Ahmed and DC Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat are par excellence and their professional credo is inspirational. They undoubtedly have redefined the idea of working for state to serve the people
. The duo not only has introduced technological interventions to bring ease in the lives of the people but their work on the ground is positively changing the very look and landscape of the capital.
The very beautiful landscaping done on twenty five kilometres Sri Nagar highway refreshes the mind of the commuters.
Apart from construction of some major road infrastructure projects, landscaping and beautification of national parks is also underway.
The very work that is currently going on reminds us of former Chairman CDA Kamran Lashari to whose credit is a series of mega projects.
He, in fact, spread the network of underpasses which greatly helped address the issue of traffic congestion.
Lok Virsa and PNCA were built by him with the intention that these bodies will help Pakistanis understand their culture. Now the same kind of vigour and vision can be seen both in Amer Ali Ahmad and Hamza Shafqaat.
Digitization of records and induction of professionals in the CDA have discouraged corruption and the civic body under the leadership of Amer Ali Ahmad is no on the sustainable path to execute mega projects which definitely will benefit the masses.
Having said so, we will ask the Chairman CDA to also work towards addressing the longstanding issue of water in the capital besides ensuring that the rural areas are not left behind in the development.
