ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad administration has imposed a complete ban on shisha cafes in the federal capital until further orders.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has directed all assistant commissioners to enforce the ban, which will also apply to shisha cafes holding valid NOCs.
Under the orders, both indoor and outdoor shisha operations have been prohibited. In case of violations, the cafe will be sealed and a case will be registered against its owner.
Assistant commissioners have also been directed to conduct indiscriminate inspections and ensure daily enforcement of the ban.

A social media user welcomed the Islamabad administration’s decision to impose a complete ban on shisha cafes, saying the move was not merely related to business activities but was also linked to public health and civic discipline.
The user, however, stressed that the ban should be enforced uniformly and transparently to ensure that action is taken without discrimination and that the rules remain the same for everyone.
