ISLAMABAD – The district administration of capital city has announced the locations of cattle markets for Eidul Azha 2025 in order to manage the flow of people and livestock more efficiently.
The locations for the five cattel markets have been selected in a way to minimize disruption in residential areas.
The city administration has started planning ahead of Eid-ul-Azha to manage cattle markets and prevent illegal animal trading.
The decision for the locations of cattle markets was taken in a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon.
The session was attended by assistant commissioners and the Director of the Metropolitan Corporation (DMA).
During the meeting, officials were briefed on the locations where cattle markets will be allowed.
Five Designated Sports for Islamabad Cattle Markets
According to the plan, five designated spots across the federal capital has been finalised for the cattle markets this year.
Markets will be established in Sangjhani, Sector I-15, and Bhara Kahu.
Two markets will be established along Lehtrar Road and Islamabad Expressway.
The district administration has decided to strictly enforce the rules to maintain order and hygiene in the city during the days leading up to Eid.
Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon has also ordered a crackdown on illegal cattle markets across Islamabad.
Lahore Cattle Markets
The Lahore district administration has finalized five cattle markets. As per district administration, at least 5 temporary cattle markets will be set up at Raiwind, Wahga Sports Complex, Nishtar LDA City, Ravi (Mouza Nain Sukh), and Burki Road. Furthermore, the permanent cattle market at Shahpur Kanjran will remain operational throughout the Eid season.
