ISLAMABAD –Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar landed in Saudi Arabia to participate in Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Riyadh.
The meeting was called to shed light on pressing regional security issues, particularly the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine. Dar will also be part of Pakistan’s delegation, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, at the second Arab-Islamic Summit, convened at Saudi Arabia’s initiative.
The Foreign Minister’s summit will address the broader Middle East situation, with a special emphasis on the Palestinian crisis.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussions at both the OIC Foreign Ministers’ meeting and the Arab-Islamic Summit will include humanitarian concerns and potential strategies for resolving the conflict in Palestine. The meetings are expected to play a significant role in shaping the international response to the ongoing crisis.
