Currently, millions of content creators are part of the YouTube Monitization Program, which allows them to earn money through ads, channel memberships, and there’s wide discussion about whether these earnings comply with Islamic laws.

Dr. Zakir Naik, who is currently on Pakistan visit, sparked debate among content creators about YouTube monetization program, labeling it Haram or forbidden by Islamic law.

The world-famous orator sheds light on monetization practices on leading video streaming portal, raising questions about videos ads. Dr Naik said ad revenue derived from content that includes women and music, stating, is not permissible. He added, “Even if you eliminate Alcoholic beverage ads, you still see women in inappropriate attires.”

He then mentioned that having millions of followers on different mediums, channels that repost his videos often include pictures of women in their thumbnails, which distorts the perception of his original work.

PEACE TV founder mentioned that while these re-shared videos receive significantly more views, his own clips have been restricted audience.

He then urged content creators to avoid raking in profits through unethical means and advised them to focus on Islam.
