ISLAMABAD – Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni was accorded warm welcome during his official visit to Pakistan as he visited iconic Pakistan Monument, where Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry received the high-level delegation.
A smartly turned-out contingent of the Federal Constabulary presented Guard of Honour to the visiting Iranian minister amid growing Pakistan-Iran engagement.

The Iranian Interior Minister later visited the Martyrs’ Memorial, where he laid a floral wreath and offered Fatiha for the fallen heroes. Paying rich tribute to their sacrifices, Momeni praised the courage and unwavering service of Pakistan’s martyrs, describing their contributions as worthy of the highest respect.
During the visit, officials briefed the Iranian dignitary on the historical and national significance of the Pakistan Monument, one of the country’s most recognizable national landmarks. Momeni appreciated the monument and the Martyrs’ Memorial for preserving Pakistan’s history, heritage, and the legacy of those who laid down their lives for the nation.
The Iranian minister also enjoyed a panoramic view of Islamabad and the scenic Margalla Hills from Shakarparian, highlighting the capital’s natural beauty during the high-profile visit.
Senior officials, including Inspector General of the Federal Constabulary Riaz Nazir Gara, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad, and other top government officials, were also present throughout the ceremony.
