Iranian first lady opens cultural festival at NUML

Wife of the President of Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr Jamileh-Sadat Alamolhodavisited the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) on Monday and held meetings

Rector NUML Major General (R) Shahid Mahmood Kayani, Director General Brig (R) Shahzad Munir, Pro Rectors, Deans, Directors, and large number of students received the visiting dignitary.

She inaugurated the cultural festival at the university and also addressed the students and faculty members.

Dr Jamileh said that Islam enlightened the whole world with its teachings about knowledge 1400 years ago, and knowledge without ethics had no value. She said that during colonial era religious leaders of Iran and this part of the region played significant role to keep the nations united. She admired the role of the great poet of east Allama Muhammad Iqbal and his invaluable role to preserve the Islamic message of knowledge and ethics.
