Iran will adopt a more aggressive approach in the Strait of Hormuz and across the wider region if diplomatic efforts with the United States fail.
According to media reports, Iran has decided to move away from a primarily defensive strategy and adopted a “fully offensive” policy.
Iranian officials dismissed the prospect of achieving lasting peace by simply putting pressure on the US or relying on intermediaries.
“Iran has set a deadline of a few weeks for full implementation of the MoU by the US,” the official said.
He added that Iran’s deadline would be communicated to the US and regional countries through mediators.
