TEHRAN – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of Iran said on Wednesday it has fired new advanced missiles to strike Israeli targets as the conflict has entered sixth day.

The IRGC issued a press release after launching 11th wave of Iranian strikes on Israel, stating that first-generation Fattah missiles were used in the latest salvo, repeatedly avoiding Israeli air defenses and “sent the message of Iran’s might to Tel Aviv’s warmongering ally, which has delusional wishes.”

“Tonight’s missile strike demonstrated that we have achieved total control over the skies of the occupied territories, the inhabitants of which have become absolutely defenseless against Iran’s missile strikes,” IRNA news quoted the IRGC as having said.

Reports claimed that the Israeli “Iron Dome” system was seen malfunctioning for a second night in a row as the missiles caused impact on ground in Israel as explosion were heard in Tel Aviv.

On the other hand, Iranian news websites said Israel was targeting a university linked to IRGC in the country’s east, and the Khojir ballistic missile facility near Tehran.

Amid escalation, US President Donald Trump warned on social media that US patience was wearing thin. He also said there was no intention to kill Iran’s leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “for now”.

“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding,” he wrote on Truth Social. “We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now … Our patience is wearing thin.”

Shortly after the post, Trump also shared another post, stating: “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”

It is recalled that Israel attacked Iranian territory, including residential buildings, in an unprovoked act of aggression overnight on June 13. Top Iranian military officials and scientist were assassinated in targeted strikes.

Following the attack, the Iranian Supreme Leader vowed to give a tough response to the Israeli aggression.
