JERUSALEM – Tensions continue unabated in Middle East as Iran hits Israel with over 400 missiles on Tuesday as Tel Aviv rocked with explosions amid fear of full scale war.

In the latest developments from the escalating conflict, Tel Aviv saw air raid sirens in the city, as officials warned residents to move to safe sites. Some of the missile landed near Israeli Ministry of Defence and the Israeli military headquarters.

Meanwhile, Jordan also saw a dramatic scene as missiles illuminated the night sky, accompanied by air raid alerts.

Iranian government run media said the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will soon release a statement, signaling potential developments in the ongoing conflict. As tensions rise, the international community continues to monitor the situation closely, with fears of further escalation in the region.

A senior official of White House made the revelation that any direct military strike from Tehran would carry severe repercussions and, highlighted US’s commitment to supporting Israel’s defensive preparations.

In response to threat, Israeli forces confirmed that while no aerial threats have been detected at this time, their air defense systems are fully prepared. This warning comes as Israeli troops initiated ground invasion in southern Lebanon, targeting what they describe as Hezbollah terror targets amid ongoing cross-border hostilities linked to Gaza conflict.

The situation raised concerns about potential for broader regional war involving both the US and Iran. IDF spokesman Rear Admiral that US had informed Israel of Iran’s missile plans and emphasized the importance of following public safety instructions.

Amid the heightened tensions, US military also deployed additional squadrons of F-16, F-15E, and A-10 aircraft to the Middle East, while the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group remains in the region.

US officials warned that any Iranian attack could match or exceed a previous incident on April 13, when Iran launched over 300 drones and missiles at Israel, which were largely intercepted.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei earlier said killing of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders would not go unpunished, hinting at further escalation.
