Iran has confirmed that it has received proposals from various mediators aimed at reducing tensions with the United States.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Tehran would continue its diplomatic efforts while also maintaining its military response.
During the Foreign Ministry’s weekly press briefing on Monday, Iran’s state news agency IRNA asked about fresh proposals from Qatar to revive negotiations, including a reported 10-day ceasefire between Tehran and Washington.
The question also referred to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s recent visit to Qatar. Responding to the query, Baghaei said it was evident that mediators were actively working to prevent further escalation.
“At the same time, Iran will leave no stone unturned in stopping US crimes,” he said.
Baghaei added that while Iran’s armed forces were responding firmly to what he described as US aggression, the country’s diplomatic apparatus was also fully engaged.
He confirmed that Tehran had received proposals conveyed through mediators but said it was not appropriate at this stage to disclose any details about them.
