President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that the international community needs to visit Pakistan and see hospitality and peaceful environment of the country. This was stated by him on Monday in his special message on the occasion of World Tourism Day.
Dr. Arif Alvi said Pakistan provides an opportunity for tourists to enjoy natural landscapes, centuries-old diverse culture, welcoming people and delicious food.
All the four provinces of Pakistan including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir have been blessed with attractive natural landscapes, weather, animals of different kinds, flora as well as social and cultural diversity, he added.
Appreciating government’s initiatives to promote tourism, the President said the tourism sector in Pakistan has the potential to play a significant role in the economic development of the country through development of small businesses.
