KARACHI – Several users have complained about partial disruptions to internet service in Pakistan’s southern port city of Karachi on Saturday.

Since last night, there have been complaints regarding internet service disruptions in the city, but the reasons for the internet service outage have not been revealed.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has also not issued any statement on this matter so far.

Meanwhile, mobile phone and internet services are suspended in Islamabad and Rawalpindi amid protest by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

A day earlier, PTI supporters and police clashed in Islamabad as Imran Khan’s party wanted to hold a protest at D-Chowk.

Authorities had also sealed Islamabad from all entry and exit point in order to prevent the PTI workers from reaching the protest site, resulting in confrontation. Police used tear gas shells while protesters hurled stones, causing injuries on both sides.
