International Population Welfare week observed

International Population Welfare week is being observed in the district. In this connection, different programmees will be arranged to create awareness among people to keep small family and hazards of increasing population.

This was stated by the District Population Officer Hafizabad Sajjida Mushtaq while addressing participants of a walk taken out under the auspices of District Population Department Hafizabad, on Monday. She said that different programmes including seminars, walks, Family shows and healthy child competitions are being held at all population centres throughout the district.

She said that unlimited increasing population was caused multiple economic and social problems that is why, the government was taking all possible measures to overcome increasing population in the country. She said that it was need of the hour to promote concept of small families for containing uncontrolled spread of population.

She also led the walk which was taken out from District Population Office and terminated after passing through different thoroughfares.
