Intermittent rains likely in Karachi, parts of Sindh

KARACHI – Intermittent rains and gusty winds are likely in Karachi and parts of Sindh on Wednesday night and Thursday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate upper and central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave prevails over upper parts of the country.

Under these conditions, intermittent rains and gusty winds are likely in Karachi, Jacobabad, Dadu and Jamshoro on Wednesday night and Thursday with occasional gaps. Hot and humid weather is likely elsewhere in the province.

Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 32-34°C on Thursday and 31-33°C on Friday.

Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 35-37°C on Thursday and 36-38°C on Friday.

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in most districts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.

In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 64 per cent.

In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 57 per cent.
