Punjab Minister for Culture Khayal Ahmed Kastro on Thursday said that the Lahore Museum has a distinct identity in terms of the region’s history, art, culture and archeology.
“The museum administration will utilize all its resources to provide facilities to the tourists”, Minister for Culture Khayal Ahmed Kastro stated while talking to the media after inauguration of an information desk in the museum.
The minister informed that Lahore Museum is offering free guided tours to all the visitors of the Museum.
The provincial minister appreciated the efforts of the Museum team and said that the initiative of the information desk and free guided tours are much-needed steps for the guidance of tourists. He said that the promotion of tourism is one of the priorities of the government. He further said that the Lahore Museum is a treasure of rare artefacts of millions of years old civilizations. Research scholars and students from all over the world, including Pakistan, stay in touch with the museum for their research knowledge. The Provincial Minister expressed keen interest in Gandhara, Islamic Gallery, Indus Valley Civilization Gallery. Commenting on the opposition, Ahmed Kastro said that we have come to work and are working while all opposition is doing is whining.
The more the government works, the more the opposition whine.
On the occasion, Director Lahore Museum, Ejaz Ahmad Minhas, briefed the provincial minister about the new features introduced in the Museum. He said that free guide tours are being provided to the visitors at the Lahore Museum. He assured the minister that all safety measures are strictly being followed in the Museum.
