Indonesian Consulate holds Virtual Language Course


To cater the growing public demands for knowing Indonesian language, theConsulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Karachi has initiated a VirtualIndonesian Language Course (VILC) in June 2021.

The program commenced on Tuesday, 1 June 2021 and was officially opened by theConsul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Karachi Dr. June KuncoroHadiningrat.

This course is hosted by the government of Indonesia to provide opportunities for thepublics of Sindh to learn how to speak Bahasa Indonesia.

The programstarted out with the basic level of Indonesian language lessons which is BIPA 1.

Firstbatch of VILC will go on for three months, from 1 June 2021 to 31 August 2021.During his opening remarks, Dr. Hadiningrat appreciated the students’ enthusiasm tolearn Indonesian language, while encouraging participants to make most of thecourse, so that it will equip them with the necessary knowledge of Indonesianlanguage, especially for those who are interested to study, work, or visit Indonesia inthe future.

Throughout the course, participants will also have the chance to learn about Indonesian cultures and traditions, to immerse themselves in language learningexperience.
