Consulate General of Indonesia in Karachi organized a business lunch for Sindh-based entrepreneurs at local hotel, ahead of two major upcoming events: the 1st Indonesia-South and Central Asia Business Forum (INASCA) and the 39th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2024. Both events are set to take place in Jakarta from 7 to 12 October, promising vast opportunities for international business and trade.

The marathon events will showcase Indonesia’s top products, services, and innovations, giving participants access to a wide range of business matchmaking sessions, trade missions, and international seminars.  These platforms aim to strengthen economic ties and explore new business collaborations. Approximately 50 businessmen from Sindh are set to participate, reflecting growing interest in Indonesian markets. At the lunch, Acting Consul General of Indonesia, TeguhWiweko, expressed his appreciation for the Sindh business community’s engagement with Indonesian trade. Also present were key figures, including the President of the Pakistan-Indonesia Business Council, Abid Nizar, and the President of the Pakistan-Indonesia Business Forum, ShamoonZaki.

Teguh, in his remarks, emphasized the significance of Pakistanibusinessmen’s participation, not only as an opportunity for new ventures but also as a way to foster lasting partnerships. “Indonesia offers a wealth of opportunities, from high-quality exports to innovative industries in agriculture, textiles, manufacturing, and services,” he noted, underscoring the mutual benefits of stronger business ties between the two nations. He further highlighted that the Consulate’s support for the delegation reflects the growing momentum in Indonesia-Pakistan relations.

The lunch served as both a celebration of the businessmen’s commitment and a chance to provide essential trip details ahead of their visit to Indonesia. Economic Consul Ahmad Syofian, Ph.D., encouraged the participants to make the most of their time at the events, emphasizing that the trip is about more than just transactions; it’s an opportunity to build long-lasting relationships and deepen understanding of each other’s markets and cultures. The business lunch not only marked the growing economic ties between Pakistan and Indonesia but also reinforced the importance of exploring international partnerships for future growth.
