MUMBAI – Indian politician and Samajwadi Party leader Santan Pandey has alleged that the 2019 Pulwama attack was orchestrated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and criticized the Modi government for making baseless accusations against Pakistan.
The Indian media reported that Pandey said that the Pulwama attack was not carried out by foreign actors but was part of a BJP-planned scheme.
He claimed that the BJP staged the incident to cover up its own misdeeds.
He further questioned the origin of the RDX explosives used in the attack, noting that the BJP has never provided an explanation.
“Accusing Pakistan without investigation or evidence has become a habit of the Modi government,” he said.
Santan Pandey also alleged that attacks such as the Mumbai and Pulwama incidents, as well as the Samjhauta Express and Pahalgam events, were false-flag operations—tactics historically used by the Modi government to achieve its ulterior motives.
It is worth noting that the Modi government blamed Pakistan for both the 2019 Pulwama attack and the 2025 Pahalgam incident.
Pakistan, however, has consistently rejected these allegations at every international forum and stated that it is ready to cooperate fully if India provides evidence.
Despite these claims, India’s Hindu nationalist government has yet to present any proof linking Pakistan to the attacks.
