LAHORE – Indian cricket team informed Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that it will not be traveling to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, seeking a neutral venue.
Reports said Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and other stakeholders were told that Dubai will be the leading candidate to host India’s fixtures.
India cricket board raised concerns about the security and logistical challenges of playing in Pakistan and is pushing for a neutral location.
BCCI’s stance comes amid growing uncertainty about whether the ICC leading tournament will proceed as planned in neighboring Pakistan or be relocated.
As the situation develops, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is expected to take a final decision in the near future.
