A seminar was organized under the auspices of the Youth Wing of Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Shabab-ul-Muslimeen in connection with Human Rights Day in Muzaffarabad, today, to highlight the gross human rights violations perpetrated by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

People from different walks of life, including Director, Liberation Research Commission Raja Sajjad Lateef Khan, local councillor Sardar Iqbal Yaseen Awan, member of Bar Council and former general secretary of Central Bar Sakhawat Awan, former civil judge Raja Faheem Iftikhar, and Chairman of Human Rights Committee, Central Bar Association, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Mehtab Hameed Mir Advocate participated in the seminar.

The speakers in their addresses said India is committing serious human rights violations in the occupied territory. They said the situation in IIOJK is deteriorating day by day and if the human rights violations and atrocities by India are not stopped, there will be huge human losses at the hands of unbridled Indian forces.

They urged the United Nations and other human rights organizations to take notice of massive human rights violations by Indian troops in the occupied territory.—APP
