Pakistan Embassy Beijing celebrated the 76th Independence of Pakistan with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony. The event showcased a patriotic zeal and fervor and the valiant struggle of our founding fathers. The participants paid homage to the martyrs to win and secure a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran. Pakistan Ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque raised the National Flag to the mesmerizing tune of the national anthem.
Messages by the President and Prime Minister on the occasion were also read out. The event had wide participation of members of the Pakistani community, Chinese friends, media, and Embassy officials with their families.
Ambassador Moin ul Haque along with the children cut a cake on the occasion. The patriotic zeal and fervor characteristic of Independence Day celebrations was visible during the proceedings.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Moin ul Haque congratulated Pakistanis on the 76th Independence Day of Pakistan. He commended the efforts of our forefathers and leaders who conceived and crystallized the idea of an independent and sovereign Muslim state in the subcontinent.
Underlining that Pakistan would be approaching the 100th anniversary of its independence in another 24 years, he called upon the community to work with dedication and diligence to achieve the vision of our founding fathers of a peaceful, prosperous, progressive, and pluralistic Pakistan by that historic milestone.
Highlighting the timeless and time-tested friendship between Pakistan and China, he stressed that this year was significant for both countries as the 10th anniversary of BRI and CPEC; and also, as the Year of China-Pakistan Tourism Exchanges. He expressed condolences on the recent floods in China and called upon the Pakistani community to assist the Chinese brethren in this hour of need.
Ambassador also expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Pakistan’s commitment to the just cause of Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom.—NNI
