Pakistani government rolled out tax relief measures for salaried individuals in Budget 2026–27, revising income tax slabs and reducing rates across multiple income categories in a move aimed at easing inflationary pressure and increasing disposable income. The revised tax structure has been introduced to support working professionals while also improving overall tax compliance.
Under the new policy, major reductions have been made in tax rates for various income brackets. Individuals earning Rs2.2 million to Rs3.2 million annually will now be taxed at 20%, down from 23%. Those earning Rs3.2 million to Rs4.1 million will see their rate reduced from 30% to 25%.
Salaried persons earning Rs4.1 million to Rs5.6 million annually will now be taxed at 29% instead of 35%. For incomes up to Rs7 million per year, the tax rate has been lowered from 35% to 32%.
