Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah says Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan’s decision to disband provincial assemblies is a blatant attempt to derail democracy. Talking to a private news channel, he said the one-point agenda of negotiations with PTI is to hold elections simultaneously in the entire country and let the National Assembly complete its constitutional term.

The Interior Minister said the government is of the opinion that the elections should be held after the budget. Replying to a question, he said the federal government is not involved in the raid on Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s house. Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that Imran Khan has brought politics to a point of no return threatening either Mr Khan or they [PML-N] would survive.—INP
