Appeals to volunteers to register for ‘Jail Bharo Tehreek’

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Monday warned government to start ‘Jail Bahro Tehreek’ if elections were not held in Punjab and KPK within 90 days.

He conveyed this message to rulers in a video message which went viral on social and electronic media. Calling on the party workers to be prepared for the movement, he lambasted the government for ‘flouting the Constitution and law, saying that people were being ‘picked up and tortured’ for ‘speaking the truth’ on social media.

“Even police were not following the court orders,” he claimed, criticising the ‘lawlessness’ in the country. “Which constitution would have allowed custodial torture of Azam Swati over a tweet,” the PTI chief added.
