Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday telephoned Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and directed him to approach Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) National Assembly lawmaker Najeeb Haroon, who resigned from his seat on Friday night, sources have claimed.
“Governor Sindh Imran Ismail is being tasked to woo the estranged party lawmaker,” the sources said. Quoting the prime minister, they said that NajeebHaroon was the founding member of the party and his grievances should be addressed.
The sources within PTI said that top party leaders have approached the estranged federal lawmaker and conveyed the message from the prime minister. According to sources, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has said that NajeebHaroon is the asset of the party and he would be persuaded at all cost.
Moreover, the MNAs and MPAs elected from Karachi have also written a letter to PM Imran Khan requesting him to contact the angry MNA and bring him back to the NA.
They have termed Najib Aaron’s resignation a major loss to the party, requesting the Prime Minister Imran Khan to address the grievances of the estranged MNA. The PTI Lawmakers said: “NajibHaroon is the founder member of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and has been in the party since 1996. We are concerned about why NajibHaoron resigned.He has unforgettable services for thePakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf. Najib Haroon is a successful businessman and a true party worker.”
