Imran Tessori, a prominent figure in the gold and jewellery industry, Manging Director Tessori Group of companies has been appointed unopposed as the Chairman of the Pakistan Gems & Jewellery Traders and Exporters Association (PGJTEA).
Tessori has outlined his commitment to addressing the challenges faced by the industry and driving growth, with a particular focus on increasing jewellery exports from Pakistan.
Currently, Pakistan’s jewellery exports stand at approximately USD 15 million. Tessori has set an ambitious target to raise this figure to USD 5 billion, provided the government implements necessary reforms, particularly changes to SRO 760 as per exporter requirements.
