Teachers are the gardeners of brilliance and sculptors of destiny, and our young women are the guiding stars illuminating generations,” said Federal Minister for Education & Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui while addressing the 23rd convocation ceremony of IMCG (PG) G-10/4 as Chief Gues. He urged the graduates to rise with confidence and carry forward Pakistan’s promise and hope.
Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui encouraged the passing out students to unlock their potential, promote women’s empowerment, embrace innovation, and define success through resilience and vision in the face of challenges.
Parliamentary Secretary Ms. Rabia Naseem Farooqi, Director General FDE (DG) Syed Junaid Akhlaq, Additional Secretary Mr. Hassan Saqlain, Director Academics Ms. Riffat Jabeen and Director Administration Mr. Javed Iqbal Mirza were among the distinguished guests.
Earlier Principal Prof Sadia Ibrar received the Chief Guest upon the arrival. The event commenced with the ceremonial entry of the teaching faculty, setting the stage for the conferral of degrees upon 166 graduates. Of these, 40 high achievers were recognized with positions on the ‘Roll of Honour’ and awarded prizes for their academic excellence.
In the highlight of the ceremony, Ms. Kirn Zubia of BS Zoology (Session 2020–2024) was awarded a gold medal for achieving a perfect 4.0 CGPA. The prize distribution segment also acknowledged outstanding performances in both academic and co-curricular domains.
The institution paid tribute to long-serving staff members, honouring Miss Zeenat Firdous and Miss Sobia Naveed from the teaching faculty, and Mr. Zaheer-ud-Din, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed and Ms. Bushra Yasmin from the support staff for completing 25 years of dedicated service. Several faculty members, including Ms. Uzma Nazeer, Ms. Sumaira Qurat ul Ain, Ms. Farah Gul, Ms. Sadia Iftikhar, Ms. Zara Mansoor, Ms. Sabeel-e-Hafi, Ms. Zainab Khatoon, Ms. Fazeelat Hussain and Ms. Birjees Anwar, were also applauded for their exceptional contributions to academics and institutional development, while Ms. Dilshad was recognized from the support staff.
In her remarks, Principal Prof. Sadia Ibrar highlighted the college’s journey of academic excellence and reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing future leaders. She extended her best wishes to the graduates as they embark on new chapters of their lives. The ceremony concluded on a celebratory note with group photographs and refreshments, marking a memorable milestone for the graduating class and the institution alike.
