In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court has quashed the illegal detention of two persons booked under draconian law Public Safety Act, directing the authorities to release them forthwith.
A bench of Justice Sanjay Dhar ordered the release of Towseef Ahmad Mir and Zubair Ahmad Butt after quashing their detention under the PSA.
Towseef Mir was booked under the draconian law by an order issued by District Magistrate Pulwama on October 20, 2021, while Zubair Butt was arrested under the PSA order issued by District Magistrate, Srinagar, on the same date.—KMS
