The Islamabad High Court on Friday declared the eight-day remand of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf members of the National Assembly as null and void.
IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz announced the reserved verdict after hearing the both parties’ arguments.

The development comes after the police on September 9 arrested a number of PTI leaders in several cases after the party’s powershow in Islamabad last week.
Anti terrorism court Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain on September 10 sent PTI leaders, including Sher Afzal Marwat, Zain Qureshi, Amir Dogar, Naseem Shah, Ahmed Chattha, Sheikh Waqas Akram and Shoaib Shaheen, to jail on eight-day physical remand in a case lodged at Sangjani police station related to attack on police personnel near Chongi No 26 area during the rally.
