IGP listens to problems of citizens via Facebook, telephone, e-open forum

Inspector General Police Islamabad. Muhammad Ahsan Younis convenes open court and listened to the problems of citizens directly through Facebook and telephone, e-open forum to solve the problems of citizens on priority basis.

According to details, in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, IG Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younis held an open meeting at the Central Police Office. On this occasion, SSP Operations, AIG Operations, SP Headquarters, SDP O Kohsar was also present, informing the citizens about the holding of this open court through social media a few days ago.

IG Islamabad listened to the problems of the citizens through Facebook and telephone from 10 am to 12 noon, listened to the telephone calls and listened to the problems of the citizens with satisfaction and issued instructions to the concerned officers for their merit and timely redressal. Citizens also expressed their grievances through WhatsApp messages, Facebook messages and comments which were marked by IG Islamabad to the concerned senior police officers.

Issues mentioned include traffic, investigative matters, speedy disposal of cases, occupation mafia, behavior of police including drug dealers and other issues. Officers were instructed to arrest the accused and recover the stolen goods as soon as possible. The open court was watched live by thousands of citizens on Facebook.

Citizens on social media paid homage to the initiative of IG Islamabad and suggested that such initiatives are playing an important role in promoting friendly relations between the people and the police. IG Islamabad visited Burma Town.

The IG Islamabad directed to deploy an Eagle Squad for patrolling on the call of a resident of Burma Town Khanna. The main purpose of the open forum is to bridge the gap between the police and the public, to convey their grievances to senior police officers and to ensure prompt resolution of their grievances.
