Inspector General of Police Punjab Shoaib Dastagir has issued orders regarding smooth functioning of Khidmat Markaz Global Portal and facilitation of the overseas Pakistanis.
In this regard, Internal Accountability Bureau (IAB) of CPO has issued standing order in the light of these directions. The notification bearing detailed SOPs has been sent from IAB AIG Azhar Hameed Khokhar to CCPO Lahore, all RPOs, addl inspector general of police, Special Branch Punjab, CPOs and all DPOs and it has further been directed to implement these SOPs completely.
In a standing order regarding working of police Khidmat Markaz Global Portal, it has been said that PM Pakistan Imran khan inaugurated Khidmat Markaz Global Portal on Feb 15 for providing facilities to Pakistanis residing in foreign countries.
By this global portal the Pakistanis of foreign countries will be able to get 06 facilities including verification of National status, acquisition of Character Certificate, registrations of tenants, registration of crime report, acquisition of copy of FIR and verification of employees which will be sought by online process whereas the details of SOPs relevant to it are given below.
Applicant will have to appear personally or some family member will represent his/her case in Embassy with his/her written consent. Applicant should present all the required documents at Embassy, to let the Embassy’s designated official fill in applicant’s complete personal details. Embassy’s Overseas Pakistani desk/or designated official will take applicant’s picture with white/blue background.
Applicant’s details will be added in the system such as name, passport number/NIC etc and the Embassy’s designated official will upload the scans of required documents along with a family member’s details (name, contact number, address) for verification.
Similarly with the devised procedure like mentioned above other five facilities can also be achieved online by the overseas Pakistanis through Police Khidmat Markaz Global Portal. IG Punjab Shoaib Dastagir directed to all officers that they should implement the devised SOPs in true letter and spirit whereas no delay should be done in taking actions against those who disobey these SOPs.
