IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon chaired a review meeting at the Central Police Office, to discuss the issuance of new police service cards. The meeting saw the attendance of senior officers, including DIGs from Headquarters, Establishment, IT, Finance, and other departments. During the meeting, the DIG Establishment briefed participants on the issuance process of the new police service cards and other necessary matters. He highlighted that a tender has already been issued, in accordance with rules and regulations, to provide new service cards to 140,000 police personnel.
The final decisions regarding the structure, design, color, and essential details to be included in the service cards have been made. IG Sindh emphasized that the service cards should be uniform for all officers and personnel. He also suggested incorporating technology into the police service cards. IG Sindh directed that modern technology should be used in the service cards to include tracking and police information. He stressed that equipping the cards with advanced technology would make it easier to identify police officers and personnel. GhulamNabiMemon also instructed that the data related to the service cards be digitized.
To simplify the issuance process, IG Sindh proposed a one-window operation. He assured that this initiative would enable police officers and personnel to perform their duties more efficiently. Memon emphasized that once the issuance of service cards begins, it should continue uninterrupted until the process is complete.
